My wife and I were introduced to dog sport via our late Doberman Daz in
the 90's. He was a dog with not much heritage, but grew to be an incredible
working dog! To train Daz we visited the Memphis Schutzhund Club when he was
almost a year old and the following weekend picked up a GSD puppy for me from
Texas. That is how our Schutzhund Journey began...
Over the years we both trained many dogs but instead of competing, like my
wife, I found helperwork and testing the dog's character more intriguing. I
have worked numerous championships and other trials as the helper over
the years and currently hold the OfG (Training Director) position for DVG
Mid-West KG. I still find problem solving and analyzing dog behavior one of
the most rewarding aspects of the sport.
Since the beginning of our time in the sport, I was interested in learning
about judging and scoring of the routines. In 2015 I had the opportunity to
join the DVG Judges Apprenticeship Program and received my Judge's License
in December of 2017. Since then I have had the privilege of judging club
trials and championships for different organizations all over the United
States.
I am excited to be judging tracking at our 2024 DVG Nationals and wish all
the competitors happy trainings and good luck!

I am very honored to be invited to judge at the LV DVG American National Championship 2024. I am a veterinarian in germany and have been involved in IGP dog sports for over 25 years. I had the possibility ofcompeting with my dogs (Malinois) in several national and international championships, including the FMBB and FCI World Championship. Currently, with my own bred dog, I am the DVG National Champion 2024 and achieved 5th place at the FCI World Championship2024. Since 2017, I have been a judge, I have judgedevents such as the LV DVG Baden-Württemberg in 2022 and 2024, the CACIT Germany in 2023 (Phase A) and 2024 (as Supervisor), and the Dutch Shepherd World Championship 2024 in Phase B. I am very much lookingforward to this championship and to experiencing greatdog sports.
.I am 50 years old and work as a project manager in an IT company. I live with my partner, her son, and our 4 dogs in Germany, on the northern outskirts of Berlin. I began in dog sports in 1990 and have gained experience with Rottweilers, Malinois, and German Shepherds. As a handler, I was able to achieve top placements at the DVG BSP, VDH DM, and FCI World Championship. I have been active as a judge for over 10 years and have had the privilege of judging the DVG Nationals in 2019, as well as various other regional championships, the DVG BSP, and the CACIT Germany. I am grateful for the invitation to the DVG Nationals 2024 and am looking forward to being a part of this wonderful event as a judge.
